What are Language Requirements?

On any project or call, you can now specify a required language proficiency! This specification will be optional for all projects except for translation where you will be required to select the language.

What does this mean for you as the Volunteer Manager?

Instead of spending your valuable time looking through volunteer profiles to find the right fit, you will be able to more easily identify and match with volunteers based on your language proficiency needs.

How to add language requirement

For any project type except Translation, you can optionally add when posting a project. For translation projects, you’ll be required to select a language proficiency.

Under the Deliverables section of the project description, you will see the option or requirement to select a language proficiency. You can then write in additional details about your project needs if you wish!

For 1-hour calls, you will also see the option to add a language requirement.

When volunteers search and apply to projects and calls, they will have to confirm they meet the project requirements, as shown below.

You can then review the qualified applications and invite the applicants to interview!
