Great news - eligible nonprofits can now accept donations through their Catchafire account! Keep reading to learn more.

How do I know if my Nonprofit is eligible?

If you are a 501(c)3 certified Nonprofit based in the U.S., your organization may qualify to receive donations through Catchafire.

To check your eligibility, you can login and navigate to your Dashboard. On your dashboard, you'll see the option to check your organization's eligibility.

Once you click the "Enable now" button, you'll be taken to the Stripe dashboard and walk through the simple process of determining eligibility and setting up your donation account.

To complete the setup process in Stripe, you must submit all of the requested information. Stripe follows strict compliance and regulatory rules for financial institutions and seeks to ensure that all parties receiving funds are real, and not fraudulent accounts. During setup, you can select "Membership Organizations" as your industry.

Navigating your donation activity

Once donations have been enabled, your organization will have a "Donate" button right on your Catchafire page. This means that anyone will be able to search for your organization's page and donate at any time!

On your dashboard, you'll see a brand new "Giving" tab. Here, you'll be able to track the donations your organization receives in real time. You'll also see a toggle where you can switch between your own personal giving and donations your organization receives. In addition, you'll get a notification each time you receive a donation!

When you receive a donation, the donor will receive an email thanking them for their donation.

So why wait? Head over to your dashboard now to get started!

A: We charge a flat 4.95% fee on each donation to cover the processing costs.

Q: I received a notification that someone wants to donate to me. What does this mean?

Q: How can I thank people for donating?

A: Donors will receive an email confirmation thanking them for their donations.

Q: What is Stripe and why do I need to set up an account on their site?

Q: What should I do if I have questions about my Stripe account?

A: For questions regarding your Stripe account, payments, login issues or connected bank accounts, you can contact Stripe support.
