Creating and updating your Organization Profile is an essential opportunity to highlight your work and inspire Volunteers to apply for your projects. Below you can find a quick overview of the basic elements of an Organization Profile and some tips on making yours stand out!

Already completed your org's profile and looking for tips on completing your personal bio? Skip ahead!

Your Organization Profile

To get started, hover over your profile icon at the top right corner of your dashboard, click on "Settings" and select "Organization profile". The page will look like the following:

Choosing Your Logo

Your logo is a simple yet important way to communicate your visual brand. To have your logo show up as clearly as possible, the image should be a 1:1 (square) that's at least 140 pixels wide and less than 5 MB. If you're having a difficult time uploading your logo or resizing it, feel free to reach out to our team using the blue chat bubble or via email at [email protected].

Tip: If your Organization is hoping to update its logo, check out our Logo Design & Visual Brand Identity project!

Cover Photo

Your cover photo should illustrate your Organization's mission - try and make it as engaging as possible! In addition to appearing on your Organization Profile, cover photos will also show up on any projects you post - so make it stand out! The image should be at least 610 x 360 pixels, and less than 5 MB in size in a PNG or JPEG format.

Tip: If you need assistance identifying a cover photo for your Organization, consider utilizing free stock images from a website like Unsplash.com.

Mission / What We Do

Chances are you probably have some version of this already figured out, so don't forget to add it to your Profile! Volunteers are always curious about the Organizations behind the opportunity, so utilize these sections to clearly highlight the impactful work you do and why you do it.

Causes

Causes are not only a great way to communicate what your Organization is passionate about, but also a key category that volunteers use to search for opportunities. Here you'll also have the option to list up to two additional cause areas, which could help your Organization show up in more Volunteers' searches and listings.

Feel free to use this space to share additional information about your Organization. We recommend posting your Organization's website, LinkedIn, or any social media pages.

Creating your Personal Bio

When you're connecting with a Catchafire Volunteer, you're finding more than just someone to complete a project for you - you're building a relationship with a new supporter of your Organization. Make sure you fill out your personal bio with care, so that Volunteers can get to know the person they'll be working with when they're applying for your project or call.

To get started, hover over your profile icon at the top right corner of your dashboard, select "Settings" and select "Personal Profile".

It is highly recommended that you add a photo of yourself so volunteers can put a face to the name! You can also include your current title at your organization and what you do.

We also recommend adding why you're passionate about your Organization's work in your bio. If volunteers see that you're passionate about your work, it will make them excited to work with you! You can also link your LinkedIn profile for networking.
