At Catchafire, we believe that our project templates have the power to transform social good organizations, by connecting them with expertise they may not have in-house and guiding these engagements with detailed scopes. Our team's been hard at work for the past few months to completely revamp our Project Menu and project offerings, making it easier for our organizations to find the perfect project for their needs.
40 New Projects
In response to user feedback, we've added 40 new projects for organizations to post on Catchafire, including:
New Category: Professional Development
We know that Catchafire projects have the power to increase the effectiveness of organizations as a whole and the nonprofit professionals managing projects on behalf of them. We made it official with a new Professional Development category, including projects like:
Fresh User Interface
We've made some major improvements to the look & feel of our Project Menu:
- We've added new ways to browse, including Most Popular, Most Recent, and Alphabetical
- Our projects are now at the front of the Project Menu, so they're visible without having to select a category first
- We've revamped our Project Details page to better communicate a project's scope and the types of volunteers available to complete it
Shout out to the following Catchafire team members for making this happen: Dan Jacob (Senior Software Engineer), Megan McCann (Senior Product Manager), Rolando Murillo (Interaction Designer), Naeem Smith (Senior Front-End Engineer), Ed Urgola (Head of Platform), and Kate Varner (Director of User Experience).
